A Voice of Colorado No. 319:

Laments of late regarding the state of affairs where THE REPORTER-HERALD in Loveland, CO. is concerned. Unfortunately, this newspaper, like other newspapers in the State of Colorado, has chosen a path of ruin and demise, and that serves no purpose.

As with THE COLORADOAN in nearby Fort Collins, CO. there is an opportunity here for someone to start a newspaper in Loveland that reports on, reflects, and represents the Loveland, CO. area in a professional, mature, and objective manner.

A Voice of Colorado No. 318:

Gannett, in the form of THE COLORADOAN, in Fort Collins, CO., has made it clear by the explicit threats, profanity, and undeniable rudeness allowed on its Social Media platforms, that it is not a professional news organization, and that it has no respect for the United States of America, the law of the United States of America, and legal American citizens.

For example, if you live in the Rist Canyon area, which is near Fort Collins, and you have expressed valid opinions regarding a marijuana grow operation, THE COLORADOAN does not need your business as a subscriber or advertiser. This is supported by the explicit threats and obscenities the so-called Social Media Manager for the newspaper allows on the Facebook page for the newspaper, with the blessing of the publisher, toward those opposed to such things.

It is unfortunate that Gannett has chosen to be what it is, and it is unfortunate that Fort Collins, CO. does not have a professional, mature daily newspaper. At the same time in this ugly truth there exists an opportunity for someone to start a newspaper that reports on, reflects, and represents the Fort Collins, CO. area in a professional, mature, and objective manner.
