A Voice of Colorado No. 113 Version 5.0:

The history of Loveland, CO. includes a number of notable figures. For example, the early settler named Mariano Medina, who established a stage coach station for the Overland Stage Line. The station would be named “Fort Namaqua”, and would feature a federal post office. A historical marker was established to identify the location of the original Fort Namaqua and the burial site of Mariana Medina. But some argue the location of the marker and the information provided may be inaccurate.
